Marlig Fix-A-Leak is a concentrated sealing compound that finds and seals small leaks in pools, spas, and plumbing from the inside. Added to the water, it travels to the leak and bonds to seal it, helping you avoid costly excavation or teardown.

How It Works (The Chemical Science)

Fix-A-Leak utilizes an advanced sodium silicate formula (often referred to as liquid glass). Rather than acting like a standard organic glue, this liquid compound stays fully fluid while submerged and under pressure. The moment it seeps through a crack and encounters air, it triggers a rapid crystallization process. Microscopic layers of silicate pile on top of each other, forming a hard, permanent crystalline "clot" that permanently plugs the leak.

Critical Limitations & Safety Warnings

• Not for Fish Ponds: Highly alkaline! If using in a concrete pond, all fish and plants must be removed before treatment. The pond must be fully drained, rinsed, and refilled before reintroducing aquatic life.
• Not for Flexible Liners: Cures into a glass-hard structure. It is not recommended for shifting, stretching, or flexible EPDM, rubber, or vinyl pond liners.
• No Potable Water or Household Drains: Strictly designed for closed-loop water systems. Do not use in standard indoor drinking water pipes or open household drainage lines.
