The 50008 Fountec Algaecide & Clarifier by EasyCare is an 8-ounce liquid treatment designed for decorative water features, birdbaths, and small water gardens without fish. 

Description and Features:

• Function: It is a powerful, fast-acting algaecide that kills and removes all types of algae (green, yellow, black, and blue-green) and prevents their regrowth. It also contains cationic polymers that act as a clarifier to leave the water ultra-clear.
• Safety: The treated water is considered safe for plants, birds, and other animals to drink from; however, the concentration is too strong for aquatic life and should not be used in water containing fish.
• Formula: It is non-hazardous, non-staining, and non-foaming, and it eliminates the need for frequent scrubbing or the regular use of harsh cleaners like chlorine or bleach.
• Active Ingredient: The active ingredient is poly[oxyethlene(dimethyliminio)-ethylene(dimethyliminio)-ethylene dichloride] (30% concentration).
• Additional Benefit: The change in water surface tension caused by the product also deters mosquitoes and other insects from landing on the water.
