The new EQ Series 3-phase pool pumps with TEFC motors are a true commercial-duty swimming pool pump. The TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan-Cooled) motor is much more robust and corrosion proof than standard ODP (Open Drip Proof) motors. This commercial-duty motor construction does not allow ambient air to enter the motor; preventing corrosion from the inside out. The motor design features heavy-duty sealed bearings and an ultra-strong aluminum fan for superior cooling; along with Class F insulation for compatibility with Pentair Commercial Aquatics' Acu-Drive™ Variable Frequency Drives. Featuring ratings offering flow capabilities in excess of 800gpm, EQ Series 3-phase TEFC pool pumps are an ideal choice for many continuous-duty commercial installations, especially those prone to coastal elements, harsh environments, and "up-time critical" applications.
