BioGuard Smart Shock (product number 22947BIO) is a multi-functional granular pool treatment designed to shock, oxidize, buffer, and clarify pool water while also killing bacteria and algae. 

Key Features and Description:

• Multi-functional Formula: This product combines several pool care functions in one, including shocking, oxidizing organic contaminants, clarifying the water with a filter enhancer, and buffering the pH level without raising it.

• Active Ingredients: The primary active ingredient is Sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione (63.05%), with 39% available chlorine. It also contains unique blue algae-fighting crystals (copper metallic at 0.26%) to kill and prevent all types of algae.

• Fast-Acting: The quick-dissolving granular form requires no mixing or pre-dissolving and allows swimmers to re-enter the pool in as little as 15 minutes after application (provided the free chlorine residual is 4.0 ppm or less).

• Easy to Use: The product is simply broadcast directly into the pool water with the pump running. One pound treats up to 12,000 gallons of water during routine maintenance.

• Compatibility: Smart Shock is suitable for all pool types and surfaces, including vinyl, fiberglass, and plaster, and is the preferred shock product for the BioGuard 3-Step Care System.
